OptimalCommerce^TM Software is designed for low failure rates and, in the event of a failure, rapid recovery. Optimal Auctions has chosen standard hardware and software to host the application and these components were chosen with reliability in mind.

Additionally, there are redundant communication links and hardware components on site that can be switched over to if necessary.

Lastly, we maintain backup systems in multiple locations. The auction results from the primary site are replicated to the backup sites automatically to enable rapid fail over to the secondary site.

The combination of these elements reduces the likelihood of significant disruptions to the auction.
