Software Usability
Recognizing that user comfort is the key to successful auction participation, Optimal Auctions invests a great deal of effort making sure that our browser-based user-interfaces are easy to use. Intuitive interfaces aid in the creation of a competitive and efficient market. By carefully using framing effects from experimental economics to the advantage of our clients, we can help make the outcome more competitive and efficient.
Our auction software separates us from our competitors in at least one important aspect. Whereas our competitors' software was designed and coded by economists, our software was designed by experts in user interface design. The result is software that is the best in the industry. Users have found our software easiest to adapt to, because the Optimal Auctions software is most similar to the software they are used to working with. We have copied the most successful software in the world for our own software, ensuring that bidders and auction managers can quickly adapt to our software.
The importance of making software that is easy to learn and easy to use can't be understated - bidders are using software that they are unfamiliar with to make very important business decisions. It is therefore extremely crucial that they learn how to use the software quickly and easily. We feel that our software does this better than all others, and we think you'll agree. After looking at some of our screenshots of the software, and taking a look at a demo of the software in action, we believe you'll agree that our software is the best solution when it comes to ease-of-use for your bidders and your auction managers.
Login Screen
The Optimal Auctions software allows the user to select whichever language they are most comfortable with. Optimal Auctions software can support an unlimited number of languages in a single auction.

Schedule Screen
The Optimal Auctions software presents all the vital information to the user in an easy to read status bar. This status bar is continually updating without any page refreshes, to ensure that the bidder always has the most up-to-date information available. Notice also how easy it is to read the schedule of the auction. This reduces any possibility of confusion on the bidders' part.

Messaging System
As you can see here, Optimal Auctions software provides its own internal messaging system for bidders and auction managers to communicate. It is copied from Yahoo Mail to ensure that bidders can easily transition to our software. Also notice how the message has to go to the auction managers, ensuring auction fidelity.

Bid Screen
This shows the screen that bidders will see when they are placing their bids, and reviewing bids from a previous round. The well laid out pages and helpful hints throughout the software mean that every bidder is instantly familiar with the interface, and no problems will be encountered during the bidding process.

Reports
This is a sample report that can be viewed by the auction manager during the auction. It allows the auction manager to print the report, or save it into Microsoft Excel for further analysis. It presents information for the auction manager to monitor the progress of the auction.
